How many of you still like pokemon.?

Im 13 and when i was small i loved pokemon. I collected cards, games, toys i was obsessed with it and so was my friend. It all ended when i was around 11 i guess? lol. i still kinda wanna buy cards just to have them cause it was a nice little hobby and was convinced some day theyd be worth a lot of money.

Now I only like the movies and games though. I still like getting maybe a lil plush toy or key chain cause their cute.

i dont like the shows because they are too childish for me and the are repetitive like the games. idk why but i still like the games, mainly the older ones

I do still like the games. I’m in the middle of Black right now. While it’s not as good as Diamond/Pearl were, I’m enjoying it.

I got really into Pokemon when it first started getting big here in the US. That was around 1998, and I was 13 at the time. Obviously, I’m a lot older now. When I was a lot younger, I loved the series, the cards (between myself and my two sisters, we had several thousand), the video games, really everything to do with Pokemon. I remember lining up for a midnight premier of the first movie. They gave out special holographic Mew cards to everyone in line. I had TONS of Pokemon merchandise all over my room. I remember our local Toys R Us would hold a Pokemon card meeting every Saturday for a few hours, and we went every week. It was always packed. You got stamps for winning games against other players, and if you got a certain number of stamps, you got a pin, or “badge” that represented a badge in the game (Bolder Badge, Cascade Badge, etc…). I remember everyone always wanted to trade cards with my sisters and I because we had tons of Japanese cards that hadn’t been released in the US. We had a paper route at the time, and every Friday after getting paid, we would go to a store across town that sold the Japanese cards and blow all of our money on them! When I think of the hundreds of dollars I spent on little paper cards, I can’t believe it. I don’t regret it though, it was fun. I have good memories of the whole thing.

Now, I guess I’m just sort of over all of it. Other than the main games, I rarely think of Pokemon anymore. I sold all of the merchandise I had collected, although I think I may still have my binders full of cards somewhere. Other than the games, the rest of it just doesn’t hold my interest anymore, which I guess isn’t surprising at all considering how many years have passed and how much older I am since I first got into it.
